Oxford Races.

These annual events came off on S. Patrick's day, but owing to numerous counter attractions the attendance was small. There were no acceptance* for the Hurdle Race, and the Maiden Plate was a walk-over for Joey. The other events resulted as follows : —

CONSOLATION. Mr R. Jones' Orphan 1 The Clown 2 The Hack Selling Race was won by T. Medhurst's Mistake, who was sold for £15. A Maori Race and Hurry Scurry completed the programme.
