Two pens of fat ewes brought 7s and 8s respectively ; 100 store wethers only were sold at 8s each; 40 rams sold at fair values; twotooth Lincoln!, brought 22s to 50-, ; aged rams from 9s to 20s each. At Matamata on Wednesday there was a very small attendance of buyers, the Shropshire Down rams being the only stock inquired for, and the thirty advertmed all found buyers at from £2 to £3 5s each. Ten Shropshire Dowu ewes sold at £2 5s each, and GOO Lincoln ewes were placed privately after the auction. There was little or no competition fur the horses, and only a few sold.
