Sydxey, February 18. Ix tho Legislative Assembly to-day, the Premier, Sir John Robertson, announced that His Excellency, Lord Carington, had declined to graut a dissolution of Parliament, and Ministers had decided to place their resignations in tho hands of tho Governor forthwith. A Supply Bill for one million and twenty thousand pounds was passed through all stages, after which tho Assembly adjourned.

Melhoukxe, February 18. Mr Gillies has succeeded in form ing a Ministry. The following is the list of the new Ministry which has been submitted to His Excellency the Governor: —Mr Gillies, Mr Deakin, Mr Wrixon, Mr Dew, Mr Pearson, Mr Niramo, Mr Walker, Mr Cuthbert, Mr Lorimer, and Mr Daviea. The portfolio of Postmaster-General is still vacant, and it is believed Mr Harper will bo appointed to it.
