Requisition to Major Atkinson. Auckland, Friday Night. A requisition asking Major Atkinson to address the Auckland electors has been set on foot.
Excursion. About 200 excursionists came down by railway from Huntly and intermediate stations today, notwithstanding tho drenching rain.
The Temperance Party and the ElectionsThe temperance committee of City West meet to-night to decide whether they shall appeal against the election on the ground of an error in Mr Clare's name. If an appeal is not decided on, they will probably ask for a scrutiny in City East and South.
Mahurangi Lime. The Mahurangi lime quanies have been sold for £600.
