Admiral Tryon and pirty, accompanied by the chairman of the Harbour Board, Admiral Scott, General Fulton, and others visited the defence works at Ocean Beach and the Heads today, also the graving dock at Port Chalmers. Admiral Tryon leaves in the moraine for Christcliurch, aud has telegraphed to Colonel Whit more that he cannot await his arrival.
