Wiiitaki'.r having resignpcl his seat as councillor for tin's riding in the Futko County Council, a fiesh election will shortly take place which js causing considerable interest. It is not unlikely that more than one candidate will be in tiie field veiy soon, as the election has to be over before the next monthly meet
ing of the council. The number of trucks of quartz conveyed over the lino during the week ending August 2nd was 226.
