Tun annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Troop Cavalry Volupteeis, was held m the Volunteer Hall, on the 2(>th mst., Captain Rutheifoul in the chair. It was iesol\ed that a tombstone and railings be erected to the memory of the late James Weal, who was. accidently shot at the rifle range last October. It was decided that the annual si\ consecutive days training shall commence on Monday 12th May, where every member is expected to be present. It was also decided that drill will be carried on in the Hall on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fnday o\onings, this week beginning at 7.30, and on Monday and Fiiday ne^t week. Two fresh membeis were elected. Persons wishing to join will have the opportunity of doing so at any time pnor to the annual diill. A shooting match with the Waiuku cavalry is to be arranged by the shooting commitsee. — (Own Correspondent. )
