THE NORTH NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION.
A mkkting of the directors of the Association was held at the acting secretary's office, Grantham-street, Hamilton, yesterday. Mr W. A. Graham occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance of directoi *. The Chairman leportedthat he had made .satisfactory arrangements with two leading Auckland firms for all the shipping, storage and general agency business the Association is likely to require for the present, members of the firms having qualified themselves by becoming shareholders of the Association. Mr Sandes reported that he had met with a large measure of success in his canvass in the Pukekohe and Bombay district, farmers in these districts offering the association a warm support. Messrs Proud, Rutherford, and Constable, among many others, agreed to take shares, and take ati active part in the advancement of the association. Messis Grant and Crossan reported the floating of 900 shares in and about the Auckland country districts. It was resolved that the allotment of shares should be adjourned until the next meeting of directors, to be held on the 13th May, to enable full returns being received from Messrs Grant and Crossan. It was resolved that the first general meeting of shareholders be held at Hamilton on the 27th May, when directors shall be elected, and a report presented of the position of the association. It was resolved to advertise for the services of a general manager for the association in WaikatOi Auckland Canterbury, and Dunedin ; also, for a secretary in The Waikato Times and Auckland papers. i
