KUMARA, Last Night.

A great fire occurred here last night, It broke out in Mrs .Cooper's fruit shop, occupied by Mr Robt. Brown, at 10.20 o'clock, and spread from Adamson's baker's shop to Roods', baker. The buildings, inclusive of Adamson's, baker, Mr Brown's fruit shop, Harrisons Hibernian Hotel, Nicholson, commission agent, Spier's, booksellers, Masonic Hotel, Wood, baker, were all gutted. Wood's bakery at the back is standing, but the shop was pulled down to prevent the tire extending to the Shamrock Hotel. Except in Mis Brown's most of the goods ware removed, but much damaged.
