THE LATEST. The Irish Bishops on the Land Act. London, Sept. 28.
A meeting of Irish Bishops has been held, at which resolutions were passed expressing the opinion that authors oi the Irish Land Act are entitled to the gratitude of tenants, and recommending the latter to utilise fully the benefits provided by the measure, and warning them against committing acts of violence and intimidation. The resolutions further expressed the opinion that it is desirable than an amnesty should be granted to the prisoners now in custody under the Coercion Act.
