Sudden Death. Thames, Last Night.

A fisherman named Thomas Handley died suddenly in bed yesterday. At an inquest the medical evidence went to show the immediate cause of the disease waB mortification of the bowels, alongside a long-standing rupture. The Jury returned a verdict accordingly.

The Wrecked Steamer Samson. New Plymouth, Sunday. The wreck of the Samson was got off the South Spit, and drifted on to the North Beach. She is now lying across the channel, blocking the entrance to Waitara river.
