[BY TELEGRAPH, OWN REPORTER,] Sale of Domain Lands. Cambridge, Last Night.
The Domain allotments were sold today. Those on the West side Were disposed of with the exception of about ten, and averaged 12s 6d per acre. Those on the East side were all sold with the exception of one, and averaged over £1 an acre. One section adjoining the proposed racecourse was competed for by Messrs Raynes and Hewitt, the former becoming the purchaser at 40s per acre. Bible Christians at Cambridge. A Bible Christian immersion ceremony took place at Cambridge West this morning, when thirteen proselytes were baptised in the river at Fitzgerald's farm. Several women were amongst the number. Mr Olby is the principal of the sect, and Mr Hill performed the immersion ceremony.
