THE LATE CRICKET MATCH AT OHAUPO.

10 THE EDITOR. Sir, — In your issue of the 7th inst., I see an account of a cricket match played at Ohaupo on Saturday last, between Ohaupo and the Saw Mills and Pateran/^i combined. Permit me to correct the error of the report through the columns of your valuable paper. There was no cricket match Jjeld there properly speaking, it being 1 odlv arranged as a meeting for a general practice. Chiefly that the Mill team might learn the rules of the game from * »haupo old and practical cricketers, the Mill team being only in existence a few weeks, and it was therefore not intended as a match or matfer for publication. There is no Cricket Club at Paterangi ; neither did a Patorangi man play for the Mill ; four of the Mill team were unavoidably absent, and three boys were substituted. — Yours, etc.,
