A. Y. Al \t»ov\i d. Mr. R. 11. D! FtTCfiwson thought that next to getting a railway the most desirable thing was a suitable time table He then moved, "That, in the opinion of this meeting, the present time-table is very unsuitable to the wants of the residents of the upper portion of Waikato as regards delivery of ■ mails, passenger traffic, and stock. " He thought the present time-table very unsuitable, and great efforts should be made to have it altered. The resolution was seconded by Mr A. A. Fantham, who remarked on the inconvenience of the existing arrangement, and hoped soon to see a time-table which would be more suited to the requirements of that district. Mr T. Wells thought they ought to stop at fault-finding ; they ought to prepare an alternative table, and one which could be worked without increased expense. He moved, " That a Committee, consisting of Messrs Fergusson, G. K. Clark, Campbell, and the mover, be appointed to arrange a time-table to be submitted to Mr A. Y. Macdonald. This was seconded by Mr Hally, and carried, and j The meeting then terminated.

Said the JittJe p&t of the household on her last birthday: "It\< a Wely doll, dear grandpa and grandma; but — I've been hoping it -would be twins." " Please pass the butter," a<? the man remarked when he sent his #oat by rail. The blind man should be the most contented man in tha world, because ho can , have everything he sees.
