ARRIVAL OF THE ENGLISH MAIL. [BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.] Auckland, Last Night.

The P.M.S.S. Zealandia arrived at 8.30 this evening with ten passengers for Auckland. The steamer is two days ahead of contract time.

Tremendous Hurricane. A tremendous hurricane broke over the town of Sevoy oh tfie line of Texas railroad, utterly destroying it. Nine were killed and many wounded.

Terrible Railway Accident. An accident occurred near Santa Cruz on the South Pacifio Railway whereby J4 were killed and 30 injured. The occupants were a picnic party, The Revenue cutter Dorwin, has been despatched from 'Frisco in search of the exploring vessel Jeanette. Hamlon defeated Courtney, near "Washington, easily. The latter claimed being ill. It is believed to have been sham. Hamlon {subsequently defeated Rilley on the Potomac, by 7\ mins. An Apach outbreak at Anzona was suppressed. The band was demolished in a conflict with the United States troops. The proceedings re the impeachment of Kellocb, the Mayor of 'Frisco, has been quashed. A partly successful attempt has been made to blow up his house. JDaklan, a contractor, has brought a serious charge against the Pacific Railway Company, one being the distribution of a million dollars amongst the Members of the Honse of Representatives. The 'Frisco Board of Trade has memorialized the Government in favor of the Nicaragna Canal. Seven persona were killed and a number wounded in a conflict between the settlers and United States officials, about a disputed possession of land. j
