Scott v. Mum.— Claim for £20 for brcnch of warranty. Mr Hay, for plaintiff, applied for an adjournment until halfpast 1 o'clock p.m., on account of the absence of the plaintiff, which was granted. IwM v. Ivgwkbsex. — This win a claim for £17 7s 9d for board and lodging cash, and refreshment supplied. Mr l[a\ for pl.iintift". This case was adjourned from last court da\ on the appHention of Mr Joy, solicitor for the- defendant, who was expected to appear but did not. The plaintiff prored the debt, and that the charges were fair nnd reaoonable. The .Bench commented strongly on the non-appearftneo of defendant after applying for an adjournment on the day before. Mr Hay informed the I3ench that his client had bci % n much prejudiced by the delky, as there visa a probability of his recoTcring some- part of tho amount due had the case been proceeded with at the time, but he wis crodibly informed' that the defendant had left the constabulary force and 1 was probably without tho jurisdiction of this Court. Judgment for amount of claim and all coat*. G. Hiiiti Y. B. Muir. — This was an information laid by Mr Uill against tbr defendant for a'wulting" his wife- Mary Hill. Mr Hay for complainant. Tun constable stated that tho charge had been withdrawn. Mr Haj said that the brother of the defendant, according to his Lastr actions, had induced the informant to settle the case last evening. His Worship informed those present in Court that the proper j course was to come before him to withdraw any information of the kind", and that he only allowed the case to be witlidawn on account of its being a f.intily quarrel. Scott v. Mum — In accordance with a r lj mrnment, this ense, which was a chum for £20 damages, for breach of warranty, came on for re-hearing.— Verdict for full amount and costs.
