Dr. Armytagr has been despatched by the Government to investigate and report on the subject. GRAHAMSTOWN. I loth July. | A most important find haa been made in | the Caledonian to-day. A specimen leader j 10 feet thick was come upon at about 60 feet ! North of old Otago ruin. Several large specimens have been taken out. The crushing stuff taken out on Saturday is producing very rich amalgam. Junutioii Tribute obtained 73 oz. from 70 tons. James Fergueson,sharebroker , > was brought up on Saturday and remanded, he giving a bond of £400 and two sureties of £200 each. AUCKLAND. Malcolm McGregor died this morning of small-pox. The Government have refused to quarantine all vessels arriving at Wellington from Auckland.
