The Board of Trustees governing the N.Z. Insfcute for the Blind are ever anxious to do everything, so far as. is possible, for the educating, • training and caring for and uplifting of the blind in order that they may become useful members of the community. Much has been accomplished during recent years but there remains much more that may be done. It is a tremendous work and involves much expense. Mi* J. Egan representing the N.Z. Institute for the Blind visited Riverton tjo-day, in connection with the annual appeal for the funds of the Instute. Residents of Riverton were most- generous in support of last year’s annual appeal and, no doubt, a similar good respoince will be again forthcoming this year* . t [‘
