OFFICIAL OPENING, , ’ , The official opening of the Riverton Bowling Club took place ■■ On Saturday when visitors were present from Waianiwa, Tuatapere, Waikiwi, Aparima ancl- Southland clubs. His Wdrship the Mayor (Dr Trotter) in declaring the green opened, congratulated the members' on the fine appear- , ance of the gteen, which was a credit to the town. Mr J. W. Clark, president, also extended a welcome to the visitors, and Mrs Clark rolled the .first bowl, after which play was commenced, and rq- ' suited as follows: — Alexander, Mclntyre, Father Fenelon, Hall (s) 17 Evans, Herman, 1 Stirling,.
