The most successful function held in the ; Oraki HalL.for many years was the concert and dance in aid of the ’/Long wood Sunday School funds, which took place* on Friday evening last. The hall,, which-bad been tastefully decori ated. was . filled to its utmost capacity • by-a most appreciative audience. - Tlie. programme contained a great ■‘variety of items, all ©f which were 'received with enthusiasm. Solos were rendered by Mrs Pankliurst, Mrs Broom - hall, Mrs Ward and by Myrtl© and Jim Paukhursfc-; ■ recitations by Mat ? N. Nuttall and some of the little folk 'of the Sunday School, One of the most appreciated items was the Humf Orovts Sketch entitled ‘ ‘Lizzie Listens . In,’’ by • Miss, ; Dj -Warnecke A Folk ; Dancer.. ‘.‘Rufty Tufty” and a Dutch -Dance, by the'-girls: were also accorded a< very-good hearing. Perhaps thi ' most amusing item on the programme •’was a.sketch entitled “Sueki.ng Cider” bv-the .smaller children. ' ; A -pianoforte solo by Mis s T. Good- ' willic received, a hearty encore. A “Mellerdrammer” presented by tlic' 'girls-caused a .great deaf, of’ amuse-' * the characters being’ *as follows:
