WESTERN DISTRICT ASSOCIATION MONTHLY MEETING i Mr Wittlestone (President) presided over the monthly meeting held in Mr ! Hodges’ office at Otautau on' Monday . . : nnig. The following delegates Avere present: Tn a tap ere, Mrs McCallum and Miss Ramsay; Riverton, Miss AVinton : and Mr Parkin; Otautau, Miss H. Buri net and Mr Hodges-; Clifden, Misses] j Gardner and Dewe and Mr C. Gardner; Nightcaps, Miss Muir and Mr Hagen; Oliai, Mesdames Cantriek and Hornby ; and Hollyhurn, Miss Horrell and Mr Horner. Mr Hodges gave notice of motion for next meeting as follows-“ That the number of vice-presidents include one representative from each affiliated cluband that the number bo limited to tliCj number of affiliated clubs.” j It was resolved that all' fixtures matches be played on Wednesdays, but clubs unable to play on that day could I mutually arrange to play on any other j. day, and in the same week. The Hollyi bum Club was exempted from the Wednesday fixtures, and allowed to substitute Saturday in lieu thereof. A discussion enued as to the number of selectors required and after consideration it was decided to add Messrs Kelly (Riverton), ami Horner (Hollyburn) to the Selection Committee. ! Mr Mason was also appointed a
referee. At Clifden on Wednesday last, the home team after a keen and enjoyable game succeeded in defeating the Tuatapere team by 6 goals to nil. The visitors were' entertained after tho .game in the hospitable manner usual at Clifden. At Otautau a strenuous game Avas played against Nightcaps resulting in a draw. Eech team scoring 2 goals •Tits visitors were entertained at tea in; the Town Hall in the evening.
