Tlie meeting was. attended by Messrs Brooker (Chairman), Allison (Secretary), McGregor, Hone, McDougall, Stevens, Liddell. - ■ The head teachers report is as follows

I beg to report that the School opened on 20th April with an attendance of 199. Since then we have had a very good attendance indeed, which I hope will be kept up- Our roll stands_at 224, and last week we averaged 217.4. To-day we started fires,and beg to report .we have a good stock of wood and coal.

The children of standards o and <5 begin to-morrow, to go to Riverton, for their manual course.

Miss Lock commenced duty on 20th April. ] On April 21st Mr Crce the physical instructor inspected tho school. ' His report is a good one. The question of tlie hedge should be settled. , Accounts amounting to £9 9s lid were passed for payment. It was decided to procure the necessary holly for hedge. The Secretary reported that Messrs Bird and Thomson have completed the work in the school grounds in a manner highly creditable to them, and add so greatly to the appearance of the grounds. The. head teacher read a letter in reply to a message of sympathy sent by tho school children to the Prime minister on his illness. The annual meeting was attended by 16 householders. ' _

The annual Balance sliowiiig a credit balance of £l2 4s lOd Avas adopted. The following Avere appointed a committee :—AV. Allison (Chairman), G. H. Biovens (Secretary). .1. T. Brooker, f>. McGregor, G. H. Bone, D Campbell, J. McDougall, A Fisher, A. Liddell. Complimentary reference Avas made to the services rendered during their two years of office by Air Brooker (Chairman), and Air Allison (Secretary). Visiting committee for the month.— Chairman and Secretary Avho Avore also appointed signing officers.
