, HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENT*. . The following are the arrangements for the Christmas and New Year Holt- J days: JT^ Christmas Eve, *Afth December.—7 to L 8 p.m. Counter delivery of correspondence. Christmas Day.—A close holiday— No mails despatched. Boxing Day, Monday 37tb.—7.1d a.m. Pillar boxes cleared; 7.80 a.m. Letter Carrier’s delivery; 8 a.m. All mails, closed; 9 to 10 a.m. Open in all branches except telephone exchange, and M.O. and S.B. New Year’s Eve.—7 to 8 p.m. Counter delivery of correspondence. New Year’s Day.—7.ls a.m. Pillar boxes cleared; 8 a.m. All mails closed. Otherwise a close holiday in all branches NOTE.—If Christmas greeting card-, packages and telegrams are lodised a few days before the holidays, distribution will be facilitated, delivery effected at the desired time, and the staffs mare rially assisted.
