There is very little doing in wheat at present as millers are buying only from hand to mouth. Prices were a shade firmer than lust week. Best wethers m wool 18s to 225, extra 25s to 275, medium 16« to 17s 6d. heavy shorn wethers up to 17s-, good 13b to 15s, medium lis to IBs 6d K heavy ewes up to 20s, medium 13s to 16s 6d. .'.''■'." Lambs—lßo yarded. Following on tost weeks entry of 400, this yarding resulted in a decided advancement in prices. Best lambs up U: 19s 3d, medium lis to 13s 6d Oattle-200 yarded. Prices were much the same as those of lsst week. Best bullocks £9 to .£lO 12s 6d, medium L7los o £8 15s, beat cows and heifers to £'7 10s Pigs—Prices for youug pigs, which were in large numbers, were about equal to last) week's, lis to 13s ; porkers and baconers were in short supply and prices firmed abuufc £d a pound. ,
ADDINGTON STOK MARKET. Sheep—A larger entry than usual. There was very g( od demand and pricts showed no cbauge. Short) wethers in forward condition made 10s 3d to lis 6d, one line up to 13s, ewe hoggets in wool, evtta good lino to 17s, good crossbred ewes in wool 'ls Id, a line of forward wethers in ho wool wasp ssed at 16s lid Fut lambs- -Urges't entry this season nearly 1000, the bulk being well grown though their condition was not so gaod. Best In robs 12s 6d to 15b * Store Cattle.-A large yarding, including a consignment from Southland, mostly small sorts in low condition. The sale was not very brisk. Locally bred 15 to 18 months, 39s Gd to 425; two-year steers £4; tv o year heifers, £3 7s 6d; thite year steers, Jb*s 13s 6i; three and four year steers, £6 13s 6d; three year heifers £4 5s dry cows 30s t>73s. Southland lines made 18 month to 2 years 47s 6d.
