RIVERTON. The bowling season has now fairly begun and the Often is being well pat romsed. By mutual arrangement a visit by the members of the Bin IT club lias been arranged for the Olh- Owing to other attractions several of the sttongest players of the club had already made o;h r arrangements so that the Mutch (Vmimittoe Messrs M’CaUum, L. Petf,h;>H and Winton hul a difficult task in a rr;-.n,png f.mr rin -,s to meet Bluff, llowo t r this was managed and some o t|,.. Jim or members have ):een given an opportunity to try their mettle.
The rinks are W. Bank hurst, Akhurst, Trail, Beer (a) ; Maunder, Hew at, .Johnstone, Bailey (s) ; More, W. R. Pankhurst, Winton, Cavoll (s) ; Cleary, Hamilton, Wood, Instone (a). The Carroll Cup competition is now o;*m for entries ami it is hoped that this will bo played o(T well before Christmas.
There is some talk of a new rink Q f ‘‘badgers” being ’selected, the old lot being looked upon as a kind of “'Dreadnought” crew, though there are some who think that at least two rinks could be selected quite up to its standard.
