There was a good attendance at the annual meeting on Wednesday, but not so large as it would have been had the weather been fine in the morning. After luncheon tre weather cleared up, and, such are the vagaries of our climate, visitors to the course had a taste of summer warmth. The races were held in a paddock placed at the disposal of the ciub by Mr McFetrick, and, on the whole, they were of a most interesting nature. The track was heavy, but despite this drawback some good racing was seen, and one or two of the finishes were close and exciting. The fields were large in all the events, with the exception of the Hurdles, for . which five had enfceted but only two turned up. The officials worked well. to ensure the success of-tl!s meeting, amongst whom special mention must be made of Mr A. Jones, vice-president, * Mr R. Smith, secretary, Mr W Nelson, judge, Mr R Baird, jnr , clerk of the scales, and Mr Cald«r, starter. Mr A. Jones and Mr Sharp were handicappeis. Mr T. W. Perry, of the Drutnmond Hotel, had the licensed booth, and as usual supplied a firstclass luncheon. Keen interest was taken in the athletic events, and Mr E. Roberts made an efficient secretary. Mr J Molntyre's bcr Unique, syrs, 9.0 ... 1 Mr A Lyon's bg Pathfinder, 6yrs, 10.i6 2 Sonshine 9.7 was third. Also ran—Look Sloy 10.5, Oskleaf 10 0, Kingsman 9.10, Atalanta 97, Lady Webster, Jockey 9.2, Path* finder was the favorite. Unique ran well, and made a good finish. Wbltbe Handicap of 10 sore; second horse 10s from stakes. Distance 1} miles. Open to all horses and riders. Mr A. Lindsay's g g Doubtless, 9.5 ... 1 Mr J Adamson's oh m Lady Lorraine, 9.12 2 Mr G Bain's b g King o' the Hills, 9.7 ... a Bowser 9.3, and Conductor 9.0, were eoratohed. Also ran—First Shot 10.7, Soubreak 10.0, Zillah 10.0, and Red Eobin 9.7. This was a good race, and Doubtleaj ran well, thus winning the double.

This was run in 121-5 sec. Five entries. Putting Stone (handicap)—first 15a, second sa.—P liogan, lft 6in, 1; M Crow, 2ft 6in, 2 ; J Hoßan, lft, 3. Five entries. 440 Yards Handicap—first £110s; second 10a; third 6s.—Six entries. Thsra was a good race between the two" placed men, Harris ran well, and although a good second/ was unable to outstrip liogan whose long, steady, even ctride told on the h«wvy ground. Half Mile Handicap—first £1 10s, second 15s.—W Egan, 40yds, 1; W Lopdell, 20yds, 2. Won by about 10 yards. Five entries. 120 Yards Handicap—first £1 ss, second 10s, third s* —Q Harris, acr, 1; F Evans", syds, 2; J Ford, syda, 3. The race was V tie between Evans and Harns, and it was decided to ran it over again, with the result given above.
