The Mayor and Town Clerk have loft for Wellington to ettend tlic Municipal Conference.
The Clansman did not tow the Pukaki to Auckland owing to indications of threatening weather. The Onion Company’s steamer Taluuo, dne here from the South on Tuesday, will go to Russell and tow liar up for repairs. The Trades and Labor Council passed a resolution that the ballot of the Union proves unsatisfactory to formation of Boards of Conciliation on the basis proposed by rule 6, but the Council is prepared to meet the Employers Association with fresh proposals, but suggest .waiting for the Labor Bills before Parliament prior to taking final action.
