We have often heard what a nice country Texas is to live in. We are more than ever convinced of it since reading the following extract from a Texas paper: —“We wish,” says the editor, “ that a few of our citizens could be permitted to live till they died a natural death, so as to show the world what a magnificently healthy country Texas really is.” Little Bill was told : “Never ask for anything at the table. Little boys should wait until they are served.”—The other day little Billy was forgotten in the distribution, and was not served at all. What could he do ? Presently, after reflecting seriously, he asked : “ Mamma, when little boys starve to death, do they go to heaven ? ”
