RITERTON C. 0. v. GLADSTONE C. C. The above match was played on the municipal reserve on the highlands on Monday, a fair wicket having been obtained there after industrious rolling by the members of the local club. The weather towards the end of the match was most unfavorable for cricket, and the play was delayed a good deal on account of tho heavy showers and strong squalls. The match resulted in a draw, greatly in favor of the visitors, who proved too strong for the local club, there being amongst them Galbraith, one of the best all-round players in Invercargill, and a number of other good cricketers. Play was not commenced till after one, on aceouflt of the late arrival of th© Gladstone men. The Riverton team was captained by Mills, and the Gladstone by Williams, and the latter winning the toss, put his men to the wickets. The followiug are the scores: — GLADSTONE—I** INSIKBS.
