SECOND EDITION AERO CLUB
MEETING OF COMMITTEE NEW MEMBERS ELECTED A meeting of the committee of the Central Hawke’s Bay Aero Club was held on Monday evening, Mr. B. W. Boys (president) presiding over the following members: Messrs. J. W. Harding, A. E. Jull, R. McLean, I. W. N. Mackie, J. Paton and C. R. Watson (secretary). Messrs. J. L. Brathwaite, R. W. Carpenter, E. R. Perkins and C. M. Williamson were granted leave of absence.
A letter was received from the Public Works Department regarding the construction of the landing ground, and it was decided to reply expressing approval of the scheme and thanking the department for the interest it had shown. The following new members were elected: Blair, Peter; Blair. Riga; Cairns, Kenneth; Cook, G. Reg.; Chisholm, Albert; Deal, Gordon P.; Elphick, Chas. A.; Fleming, Irene .G.; Gideon. Gordon E.; Given, Thos. G.; Guilliard, Bernard; Ganderton, F .A.; Hastie, Alex. B.; Haycock, Chas. F.; Johnston. Jas. G.; Johanson, R. W.; Marfell, Leslie J.; Marfell, Peter; Moore, Alfred S.; McCormick, Mason; McConchie, Stewart; Maclean, Annie; Ormond, John D. W.; Roach. Harold B.; Scott, Robert McD.; Staines, Thos. L.; Ward. Frank V.; White, Allan McG.; Gair, Henry J. G.: Dean. Mrs. M.; Dean, H. R.; Esam. Stanley E.; Cook, Jack F.; Edgar, Andrew. A vote of thanks was accorded the newspapers for publicity given the club.
