CALCUTTA, Nov. 25
Fresh hopes that Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith and T. Pethybridge are alive -were aroused by a wireless message received by the Indian Government from an aerodrome at Victoria Point to the effect that a villager at Kjupum, Siam, reports that information was received four days ago that an aircraft with a broken wing vras discovered in the jungle neai’ Kaikpu, and that one airman has a leg broken and the other is unhurt.
Kaikpu village is south of Kapung, which is 85 miles south of Victoria Point. The reliability of the information is uncertain, but it confirms the report that a plane was seen by a dredger manager erly on the morning of November 8 in the neighbourhood of Takuapa.
