CROSSING MISHAP

Train and Motor Van CONDITION OF SUFFERERS EXPRESS DELAYED (Per Press Association). LEVIN, This Day. Inquiries to-day reveal the condition of Messrs R. Anderson and J. 'Corrigan, injured yesterday in a flvel crossing accident, as satisfact■ory. Corrigan is suffering from a broken collarbone and severe abrasions, while Anderson is the victim of concussion. The train service was disorganised as the result of the accident, the impact causing a break in the steam valve on the forward part of the locomotive of the Napier express, which, after temporary repairs, proceeded to Palmerston North, under its own power. The express was delayed threequarters of an hour, and was sent on attached to the locomotive of the following south-bound goods train, which was sent from Shannon.
