HARDENING TENDENCY

BETTER WOOL PRICES IN COMING SEASON Increased wool prices in the coming season may be expected, according to Mr. W. H. P. Barber, chairman of directors of the Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Company, Ltd., who intimated to the annual meeting of shareholders yesterday that he had based his forecast on well-informed sources of information.

“Already there is a decided hardening in prices,” said Mr. Barber, “and a further more tangible indication to us is that our clients are keen about future requirements and are evidently in large degree dropping the small quantity method of buying which has been prevalent during the economic depression. Bulk replacement of stock, evidently in anticipation of advances in wholesale prices, is beginning.”
