ART UNION PROFITS

RELIEF OF DISTRESS LIST OF ALLOCATIONS \ (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. It was announced to-day by Sir Alexander Young, Minister of Internal Affairs, that the profits from the art union No., 40, “My Turn of Luck,” had been allocated as follows. Relief of distress throughout the Dominion, £5150; Home of Compassion, Wellington, £300; Auckland Ladies’ Benevolent Society, £150; total £5600. The Minister explained that the total allocations exceeded the actual profits by approximately £lOO, which had been taken from the reserve fund.
