Mrs H. Kilford was appointed as delegate to attend a federation meeting at Matamau on October 10. Final arrangements were made for the forthcoming flower show to be held next week.

The competition for the month was: “Best papi«r-machc article’’ and resulted in many entries, the winners being Mrs White 1; Miss White 2; Mrs White 3.

Another amusing competition was arranged by Mrs Arthur Jackson.

A dainty afternoon tea was partaken of, the hostesses being Mesdames Stubbs (2), Misses D. South and S. Thompsen. A enjoyable meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
