ELECTRIFYING BRITAIN
A VAST NETWORK OF TRANSMISSION LINES RUGBY, March 8. The electricity grid system which consists of a vast network of main transmission lines covering almost the whole of Britain, for distributing electricity from selected generating stations will be substantially completed during the present year. It was stated in Parliament that the total capital expenditure on its construction will be £27,000,000 exclusive of interest during construction.
