MOTHER’S UNION
OTANE BRANCH AFTERNOON AT “BRAEHEAD” The members of the Otane Mothers’ Union spent a most enjoyable afternoon at “Braehead” on Thursday, Miss R. Clark, Rev. B. Hall and Messrs R. H. Tod, Black, Douglas and* Lee kindly lending their cars to convey the members. The afternoon was beautfully fine and the pretty garden looked very refreshed after the rain of the early morning. Mr and Mrs Tod had done
everything possible for the comfort and pleasure of their guests, and the time passed all too quickly in wandering around the garden, competitions, musical items and social intercourse generally. A delicious afternoon tea was served. Before leaving, Mrs Hall, president, on behalf of ' the Mothers’ Union,, voiced her appreciation and thanked Mrs Tod for making such a delightful afternoon possible, three hearty cheers being given for the hostess. ■ The winners of the competitions were Mesdames J. Tod, Hall, Fairhall and Douglas.
