TO PAY DEBT

CLERK STEALS £l5 ADMITTED TO PROBATION (Per Press Association) DUNEDIN, Last Night. In the Dunedin Police Court William Coggin Griffin, aged 36, a married man employed by the Public Works Department as a clerk at Lauder, was admitted to 12 months’ probation for the theft of £l5. It was stated that accused used the money to pay, a debt. Later he notified the assistant engineer of the theft, and made restitution.
