There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather. Expect warm and sultry weather, but showers later, especially in back country. The barometer is falling slowly. SCATTERED SHOWERS (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The anti-cyclone has moved to the north-westward of the Dominion. The depression advancing across tha Tasman Sea is already causing unsettled weather in the Southern part of the South Island, where the barometers have fallen considerably. The depression is likely to cross New Zealand during to-night and to-morrow.
The forecast is for north-westerly winds, fresh to strong in places; weather mainly fair and warm, but some scattered showers in back country; seas moderate. J
