The committee of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association does not consider that it has much time to spare to listen to addresses on monetary reform. At a recent meeting Mr D. C. Davie, hon. secretary of the New Economics Association, wrote asking if he might, at a future date, address the manufacturers on the necessity for monetary reform, with special reference to the Douglas Social credit analy-
sis. “I do not believe in these things,” said Mr F. L. Hutchinson. “What wo want.is,to get more work done and the wages paid. I will move that he bo given ton minutes.’’ The chairman (Mr E. Archbold): “I suppose that will mean a quarter of an hour.” The motion was carried.
