(Per Press Association)

WELLINGTON, This Day.

The Wellington Fire Board to-day discussed an application by the City Council that all documents relating to the. recent dismissal of DeputySuperintendent Clark and the derating of Superintendent Creeke should be made available to the Council.

The Chairman, Mr. N. W. Nelson, submitted a lengthy report covering the whole position. The affair animated considerable discussion. The Board decided to decline the Council’s request, but agreed to make the documents available at the office of the Fire Board to the Mayor or

any officer deputed by him to inspect them. This was carried unanimous-

Mr. Semple then moved that the services of Mr. Creeke be dispensed with. This also led to a heated discussion, and the motion finally was rejected by four votes to three.
