WAIPAWA COURT
<S YESTERDAY’S PROCEEDINGS (Before Dr. H. W. M. Kendall and Messrs. M. Ryan and W. S. Yates, J.P.’s.) • In the Waipawa S.M, Court yesterday tllfe following cases were heard:— Joseph Higgins, for failing to Day his unemployment levy for last August w r as fined 5/- and costs 19/8. D. A. Preston, for carrying a heavier load on his lorry than permitted by the registration, was convicted and ordered to pay 10/- costs, he since having paid the extra registration fee.
J. H. Donghi was fined £1 10s and
and costs £1 2s 6d for permitting a cow to wander on the Elsthorpe road. Defendant was allowed a month in which to pay.
Judgment was entered up for plaintiffs by default in the following civil cases: —F. C. Schmidt v. J. A. McCullough, £7 17s 10d, costs £1 14s 6d; F. W. B. South v. Nuia Makara, £1 10s, costs 14/-; Williams and Kettle v. W. Eru, £4, costs £1 9s 6d; Waipawa Motors v. W. Walker, £l5, costs £3 Is; F. R. Furminger,. Ltd. v. W. Sam, £4 8s Id, costs £1 10s 6d; W. Yardley v. J. Jensen, £7 9s, costs £1 10s 6d; T. W. Wills v. T. M. Russell, £4, costs £1 3s 6d.
