On taking the articles to a city dealer, tho householder was offered a cheque for £4 2s 9d, which he acepted. The dental plate, for which the buyer ajt. the door had offered a maximum of 17s, brought £2 7s 9d in the city, and the total proceeds of the sale in the town were £2 8s 8d in excess of what the itinerant buyer said was his highest bid.
