BOUND FOR SOUTH AMERICA Australian and N.Z. Press Association NEW YORK, Aug. 18. A message from San Pedro, California, states that the Panama mail liner Ecuador grounded at Cape Lazarus, on the Mexican coast, early today. . There were 100 passengers on board, and 75 of a crew. The vessel was bound for Central American ports. There are no details. Two steamships are speeding to the rescue.
