ADDRESS OxIiERD TESTING. From Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of farmers will be held shortly when Major McDonnell and F. A. Thompson, delegates to the recent Farmers’ Union Conference held in Wellington will report and Mr J. A. Stafford, junr., will give an address on herd-testing. The fine weather experienced of late has been very beneficial to stock. Early lambs are in evidence on the farms, and lambing will be general from now on, and dairying will also be in full swing, with prospects of a record season.
