PRESIDENT ON THE PACT Australian and N.Z. Press Association. WASHINGTON, August 15. A message from Warsaw, Wisconsin, states: — ‘ ‘The Kellog pact holds greater hope for peaceful relations than was c-vcr before given to the world,” President Coolidge declared to-day, when addressing the State American Legion. "The agreement proposes a revolutionary policy among the nations. If those involved in it will finish it, its provisions ■will prove one of the greatest blessings ever bestowed on humanity. ’ ’ As to the power to maintain jpcace, the President asserted that »if the treaty had been in force in 1914, “ there is every reason to suppose it ( would have saved the situation and delivered the world from the ravages of the Great War.” He maintained that by taking a leading position in securing the agreement, the United States had proved its pacific inclinations towards all nations.
