IMPORT ENTRIES FORGED. AUCKLAND, Thursday. Clifton Webb Verran ,aged 28, Customs agent, was charged at the Police Court on two informations with forgingimport entries by falsely signing what purported to bo the signatures of the Collector of Customs, and applying a rubber stamp impression, with intent that it should be acted upon as genuine; forging the name of J. J. Wooler to import entri&s (four charges), and twelve charges of fradulently omitting to acount to the Customs Department at Auckland for a total of £230 0s lOd, hereby committing theft.
