TE MAHANGA ESTATE.

TOTAL REACHES £83,217.

There was a crowded attendance at the Municipal Assembly Hall, Hastings, on Saturday morning, when Hoa'dley, Son and Stewart, Ltd., submitted to auction two blocks of the famous Te Mahanga Estate, containing about 2500 acres, subdivided into 14 allotments, on account of the executors of the late A. F. Douglas. The whole offering was disposed of, with the exception of lot 3, containing 40 acres, which is under firm offer, and will be quitted shortly. The following is a list of the sales effected: —

Lot 1, 145 acres—R. J. Bell, Havelock North, £52 per acre. Lot 2, 110 acres—G. W. Nilsson, Havelock North, £45 per acre. Lot 4, 123 acres —R. J• Bell, Havelock North, £32 per acre. Lot 5, 129 acres —G. W. Nilsson, Havelock North, £42 10- per acre.

Lot 6, 82 acres—J. H. Coupcr, Havelock North, £5O per acre. •

Lot 7, 50 acres —A. J. Inglis, Have lock North, £6l per acre.

Lot 8, 253 acres—J. H. Couper, Havelock North, £25 per acre.

Lot 9, 253 acres —E. J. Harvey, Hastings, £2B per acre. Lot 10, 329 acres —J. W. Bicknell, Puketapu, £35 10/- per acre.

Lot 11, 285 acres —H, Gilbertson, Havelock North, £37 per acre.

Lot 12, 316 acres —W. J. Moughan, Dannevirke, £29 per acre. —

Lot 13, 28 acres 1 rood—W. J. Mou ghan, Danncvirke, £29 per acre. Lot 14, 335 acres—A. J. Field, Have lock North, £25 10/- per acre.

The total sales represent £83,217 15/-.
