WAIPUKURAU CLUB.
A .pairs tournament was held on the Waipukurau green yesterday, but coun-ter-attractions reduced the number of players to sixteen. Four games were got through, when rain interfered with further play. Hall, with three wins, secured the skips’ prize, and W. Saunders, Cook, Richards and Carpenter tied for second place, a "draw," giving the
prize to Saunders. W. McSkimming was the winner of the leads, with four wins, and Reckin and Milne tied for seconid place, the former getting the "draw." I Wet weather on Saturday prevented the official opening for the season of the Waipawa green, and also the Sanatorium green.
