The Waipukurau Auction coring Co. reports having held theifr usual weekly sale yesterday, when they said a fair yarding of poultry to a large attendance of the general public. Prices realised arc as follows:—Lading hens 5s ioGs 6d, WI.R; laying hens 6s 6d to 7s, W. L. roosters 5s to Gs, ducks 6s6d all at per pair. Apples sold at 5 per half caae, lemons Is 6d, poorman oranges' Is 6d, all at per dozen, potatoes 8s 6d to 10s 6d per cwt sacks, maize 7s Gd per sack. The whole of the contents of a fuor-roomed cottage met with keen competition and every lot was sold under the hammer at price satisfactory to the vendor.
